All over the world cities are growing, in many countries even with an amazing speed. Rapid urban development demands new infrastructure and large construction processes. The construction sector has become one of the major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Energy efficiency can play a key role in addressing climate change.

While most research worldwide concentrates on greening the buildings - and their energy systems - themselves, Shaozhe Wang wants to focus on the larger picture of construction activities, like the use and transport of raw materials and a complete life cycle assessment of building processes.

Her target is mapping the situation in different cities in China and comparing the results with two succesfull cases in Sweden. In the end she hopes to work out a detailed plan for a sustainable approach in construction logistics.

Be welcome to take a look at her ambitious work and assist her wherever you can.
